A beautiful, massive park that's perfect for a variety of outdoors adventures from casual camping to intense hiking to even shooting practice. This is a prime example of taxes well-spent.
For hiking it was awesome, lots of trails with steep mountain like terrain and beautiful scenery

Many miles of trails to hike, run, and ride horses on, while enjoying the natural beauty of Missouri. The 3 lane (25 yard, 50 yard, and 100 yard) shooting range is well kept, but closed on Mondays. Be sure to arrive early if you don't want to wait on weekends. The range opens a half hour after sunrise and closes a half hour before sunset.
Trails are great and there is a lot of varity with 6 different trails you can use. They vary from 3-6 miles each and if combined can make for even longer hikes/rides/runs. The river is awesome for the kids too!!!!
